Creation 04: APL Teen Blog Illustrations![about us]()
This creation is a set of illustrations to be used in the Aurora Public Library’s newly updated Teen Space Blog! The Teen Space Blog features book reviews by the library’s teen librarians, as well as tons of resource pages with a lot of neat and useful stuff.
This project required me to do 17 small pen illustrations each presenting the theme of the resource page on the website. I wouldn’t normally consider my library volunteer work as part of my creation challenge but this was a particularly big project with a ton of sketching. it was really fun, just like a deviant art meme. lol
funny, lately i’ve found that some of my best work has come from the projects i do for the library. not only has the library helped me grow as an artist (in the typical ways that experience tends to ‘grow’ us), but also working with the library has granted me a passion and respect for graphic design. i can go on and on about my love for the library, how much it’s benefited me and how amazing the lovely people in it are :) but let me not digress any further! Here are the pretty little drawings:
